Full description
Learn about the rich and varied history of Seville: a city founded by mysterious Tartessians, inhabited by the Romans and the Moors, robbed by the Vikings, and conquered by the Christians.

The tour will start in the shadows of the largest wooden structure in the world, the Metropol Parasol. A viewing platform, this engineering marvel also contains ruins from the Roman Empire.

On the Main Square you'll find out why there are so many orange trees here and why citruses are picked only by tourists.

Approaching the world's largest Gothic cathedral, you'll learn which parts of the building remained from the main mosque, and why the cathedral bell tower was called "Giralda".

From here you'll get to see the royal palace Alcázar and the Archivo General de Indias, where Amerigo Vespucci was appointed a chief pilot.

After that you'll go to the Golden Tower that has been guarding one of the Seville's shores since the times of Moorish Spain, followed by a visit to the tobacco factory that inspired Mérimée to write the novel "Carmen".

And you will get a chance to leave a love letter at the monument to the Sevillian poet Bécquer. The endpoint of the excursion will be at Plaza de España (Spain Square in English), one of the symbols of the city, where various architectural styles are intertwined with Sevillian ceramics.

During this tour, not only will you get acquainted with the southern capital, you will also enjoy the colors, stories and beauty of Seville as sung in the operas of Rossini, Bizet, and Mozart.
