Top sights in Seville
Seville's preeminent attraction, the Seville Cathedral, is the third-largest church in the world. A sublime specimen of Gothic architecture with a fascinating history, the cathedral is a formidable human achievement that will certainly take your breath away.
The cathedral's famous bell tower, called Giralda, was originally built as a minaret in the late 12th century. The stunning, 105-meter-tall tower is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Capilla Mayor, the cathedral's main chapel, has the longest nave of any cathedral in Spain. Its 42-meter-high ceiling is lavishly decorated in Gothic and Baroque styles.
The Capilla Mayor's retablo, aka altarpiece, is the largest in Christendom. This sublime masterpiece was entirely carved out of wood, depicting 42 scenes from the life of Christ.
In total, the cathedral has 15 doors, each featuring a distinct architectural style and decorated with beautiful, extremely ornate reliefs and carvings.
In this gorgeous monument, Columbus' casket is held aloft by four statues, each representing one of the four kingdoms that comprised Spain during the explorer's life.
Although it's a long climb to the top of the Giralda, it's not an overly difficult one, and those who brave it are rewarded with one of the most spectacular views of the entire city – don't miss out!

What people are saying about Seville Cathedral
Loved this tour. The content was perfect. Queues were skipped which is really good when it is very hot (as it was!). Alejandro knew his history and spoke in a way which held my attention. The headphones worked perfectly. Well worth the cost, which I thought was very reasonable as it included the entrance fees and was for 3 hours. I would recommend that attendees take a drink and a hat and wear proper shoes (not flip flops) as there is plenty of walking plus you can climb the giralda which could be quite hard on the legs.
Jesus was really the jem in your tour...he knows history, he knows how to mingle information in order to make them pleasent for everybody...friendly, but not to much...great guide...and nice tour...
We had an exceptional experience thanks to the guide Alejandro. He was very well versed with the history of the sites, made the commentary interesting mixed with friendly humor.
Laurens our guide delivered history and facts with personality taking questions whenever they were asked with factual answers tinged with humour where possible My party went to The wrong meeting point due to a clerical error but she phoned to track us down before commencing the tour A difficult member of the party did not phase her and she dealt with her in a calm polite efficient manner
The most interesting Cathedral tour we have done! Views from the tower are fantastic, don’t miss them. Alcazar combines beautiful architecture, gardens and history! Guide spoke excellent English, included historical and modern (Game of Thrones film sights) in a well paced tour. Highly recommend this tour!
