Full description
Depart from the city center of Seoul to explore the mysterious and thrilling area of Panmunjom and the DMZ, where the two Koreas meet. Discover Imjingak Park, filled with interesting artifacts, like a steam locomotive used by military personnel and a range of equipment used during the Korean War. Take a moment to straddle Freedom Bridge, famously used for exchanging prisoners of war between the two states.

Next, explore the 3rd Tunnel built by the North Korean regime. In its time it could allow 30,000 troops to reach Seoul within 1 hour for a surprise attack. From Dora Observation Point take a look at Gaesung City, Daesungdong and Gijungdong, mysterious North Korean towns and cities visible from the DMZ. Dorasan Station is the last train station in South Korea and the first station on the route to North Korea. Nowadays it opens for tourists only.

After lunch, pass over Unification Bridge on the road to the Joint Security Area (JSA). The JSA is used for tense, high-level diplomatic conferences between the two Koreas. See where key historic moments have occurred, including the infamous "ax murder" incident. Arrive back in Seoul by 5:30 PM.
