What people are saying about Savannah
My mom and I had a wonderful afternoon strolling the street of Savannah reliving one of our favorite books (and movies). We enjoyed all the juicy tidbits that we couldn't possibly have known. It was timed very well and we were given a break in the middle. I think I smiled through the whole thing, learning about all the eccentric characters that Martin brought back to life for us!
Our tour started during a tropical storm and the first restaurant was closed for a private party. Everybody maintained a sense of humor and Thomas at Capital Bee took us in and gave us a honey tasting, which was excellent. Anne our tour guide was informative and made the best of a very wet day. My sister's and I enjoyed the food and drinks from all the restaurants.
We bought our tickets online and it did us no good. We had to stand in line anyway, had to get a printed ticket, and there are many steps that need to be covered before you can actually get on the Trolley. Online should not even be offered if it can be no more efficient than this.
Our food tour was fantastic! Our guide was Cindy who was a lot of fun, personable, and very knowledgeable! I would highly recommend anyone visiting Savannah, GA. to schedule a food tour the day you arrive! You'll have the chance to revisit many of the places during your stay.
Most everyone in our group had no Segway experience. We were given ample time to learn how to operate a Segway. We took the 90 minute tour (would recommend this tour). Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and joked with the group.
