Sarajevo Canton Recommendations
What people are saying about Sarajevo Canton
Planning our visit to Bosnia we quickly realized that most travel companies there organize the same trips in the same price range, so choosing between them was kind of random. However, after going to Jajce with Invicta, we have changed all of our plans to go with them again as soon as possible. First of all, Invicta office was really nice and flexible, answering to our emails at midnight as well. Secondly, what the company does not really advertise (no idea why) is that these tours are really low-number, or private tours. I have managed to go privately with my girlfriend to both this tour and the Mostar tour for the same price. Considering that other travel agencies go with big groups, this is a HUGE advantage. And lastly, our tour guide Edin was just the best. He is such a nice, interesting, funny and knowledgeable guy, I could have spent the whole week with him. Jajce is a really great place, definitely worth the visit! I think I liked Mostar a bit better, but still, definitely check
Maybe everyone thinks that you should go to Mostar and maybe people tell you that nothing happens in Visegrad, but our trip to Visegrad went through the most beautiful mountains and landscapes, but most of all we had a very interesting, polite and friendly guide, well educated and easy to talk to and to learn more about the country and the people. It was like meeting a new friend. We got picked up outside the flat in Konak we had rented for 4 days, and went one way to Visegrad to see the bridge over Drina and back again to Sarajevo another way. On the way back we visited another small town (I have forgotten the name). Everything was great, beautiful and very interesting.
This was a day packed with various experiences. We were treated to interesting information relating to the history and politics of BH. The drive to the bridge was an interesting exercise as it highlighted some of the countries political divisions and how these impact on peoples' lives. Although it was cloudy with occasional rain, this is did not dull our enjoyment of seeing the bridge over the River Drina.
Within almost four hours Edin showed us around his town – just the two of us! Focus of the tour was Sarajevos recent history. We could seek in this time and got to know everything we wanted. Edin proved himself as a great guide with great knowledge about pretty much everything. Thanks a lot for that! We highly recommend to book this tour. It is more than worth it!
Me and my family had a wonderful private tour to Mostar. Our guide Jenni was very polite and helpful. She told us a lot about the history of the country, about the people, politics, education system, etc. We learned much more about Bosnia than ever imagined. Thanks to Jenni i’ve got inlove with Bosnia ,can’t wait to come back again.
