What people are saying about Santorini

Informative and fun visit to three wineries

My wife and I were on our honeymoon in Santorini and were looking for an activity beyond watching sunsets from the caldera edge (as beautiful as they are). We decided on short notice to book this wine tour and loved every minute of it. We were picked up right outside our hotel and joined two other couples who were enjoyable company. The driver (Elizabeth, maybe?) was friendly, outgoing, and safe and answered all of our questions that came up over the next five hours. The wineries gave short tours describing the adjustments needed to grow grapes on a windy, sunny, volcanic island. Then each place gave us tastes of four different wines. We really enjoyed the local white variety (Assyrtiko) and the couple of reds we tried. The sweet wines like Vinsanto were not our preference, but we recognized that they were well crafted. Each winery provided much needed snacks. The last winery was on the caldera edge, where we watched the gorgeous sunset.

Old pirate ship, great staff, 10/10 experience

I booked this excursion for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was our favorite experience from our trip to santorini. They send you an address for pickup, but it can be a bit confusing, so ask the locals if you can’t figure it out and they will direct you. Once aboard, you sail to a volcano, 2 swimming spots, and watch the sunset while you eat before returning home. - The boat can be quite windy/shaky so hold on to your hats/drinks. - The volcano hike is a bit strenuous and takes about an hour in total. - The swim is amazing and you must do it. - The sunset is a must-see from the water. - Food is okay and there are plenty of drinks on board. - BONUS: the staff is SO friendly and amazing (speaking 5 languages). They teach you traditional Greek dancing to round out your trip. [13:30-21:00 from pickup to drop off; 6 hours on the boat but it doesn’t feel too long] 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Great experience; missed the sails; slightly disorganized ride home

Pretty quick start up after pick up; great views and tour style information back and forth by the island; beautiful sunset; wish we had actually used the sails instead of just the gas-guzzling engine the whole time; the food was spectacularly delicious, even for vegans and vegetarians; clean facilities; but the drop off guy went by our hotel (2 minutes away) and drove 20+ minutes out of the way, even though we said something - he totally apologized for the confusion though. Lastly, the drop off point is not back at the port, and shows you a ROMANTIC point of interest to come back to the next day simply called The Beach - the company's private island with actual sun beds. I really wish I had gone toward the beginning of my trip so I could have known to visit that beach!! It's SO CUTE.

So fun and wonderful way to see the island!

We had such an enjoyable day kayaking, snorkeling and swimming. We got to see 2 beaches of the island: red beach and white beach. The kayaking instructors were excellent, knowledgeable and led us when in the waters. Harris was our guide and he also took photos of us throughout the trip which allowed us to leave our phones safely behind on land. Harris also gave us the opportunity to jump off a small cliff which was incredible. A picnic was also provided including fresh watermelon. The location is also great with lots of lovely places to eat nearby, and is just down the road from the Akrotiri escalations site. All in all this was such a great experience - for families or for anyone wanting to explore the island in a more unique way whilst also doing some exercise.

An excellent one-day, all-inclusive introduction to this great island!

We really enjoyed the tour. It hit all the right spots, giving just enough time to explore the attraction you were in. The ancient Akrotiri site was the highlight for us but others may find other stops as appealing — all are worth your time! Our guide had a terrific suggestion for the last stop at Oia where to go and most importantly not to go and when and where to get those coveted pictures of blue domed churches — she was spot on!
