Full description
Meet at La Moneda (Chile's Presidential Palace), in front of Plaza de la Constitucion. Your guide will be waiting to take you on a tour filled with snacks. Head to La Alameda to explore an area popular with locals, thanks to its gorgeous architecture and blend of the old and new.

Known as the heart and soul of Santiago (and where the city began), highlights include Plaza de Armas and the Metropolitan Cathedral. From here, travel like a local and ride the metro to a popular market. Wander the aisles and watch how the locals bargain for the best deals. You can even try your own negotiation skills. Because you will be in areas of the market that are inaccessible to large tour groups, you’ll experience what it’s really like to shop here every day.

Next, go to a local flea market, where you can find everything from souvenirs to healing potions. Move onward to another market to sample delicious Chilean delicacies. Head to a stunning park in downtown Santiago and walk off all those food samples.
Your Santiago tour is then going onwards and upwards — literally. You'll be taken on the Funicular to the top of Cerro San Cristobal. At the top, you’ll have the best view of the city, so keep that camera handy — you’ll want to show off your awe-inspiring photos to everyone back home.

You’ll finish up your Santiago tour in the bohemian Bellavista neighborhood. A place full of life and arts & crafts. Before you go, don’t forget to ask your local guide for tips on what else to see, do, and eat during your stay.

• This is a child-friendly tour. Children under the age of 6 are permitted to join this tour free of charge.
• The funicular is closed on the first Monday of each month, so if you take the tour on that day, you´ll take a bus to the top of the San Cristobal Hill instead.
On weekends this tour will not visit the San Cristobal Hill, because of the long lines (you could be waiting in line for up to 2 hours). Instead, you'll be taken to somewhere equally as cool and trendy.
