Full description
Begin your tour with a hotel pickup at 8:30 AM, and then hit the "Neruda Road". Your first stop will be the Isla Negra, where you are scheduled to arrive at 10:10 AM. The house in Isla Negra is a compendium of visual material and objects that were signifiant to Neruda's poetic imagination. The place was originally called Las Gaviotas, but the poet renamed it Isla Negra to suit the color of its rocks, and perhaps because there he could find the necessary isolation to write.
Upon returning from Europe to Chile in 1937, and looking for a place to pursue his Canto General, Neruda wrote in his memoirs, "the wild coast of Isla Negra, with the tumultuous ocean motion, let me give myself passionately to the company of my new song."

Leaving the Isla Negra, head toward the house museum of La Sebastiana in Valparaiso. After your visit to this unique museum, enjoy lunch in Viña del Mar at an additional cost, later visiting the most important sites in the area. After this visit, you will return to Santiago to La Chascona Museum. This is your last museum visit taking place at around 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM. The tour ends with a hotel drop-off.
