Full description
Experience a spectacular horseback ride in the Cajon del Maipo Valley. After a one-hour drive from Santiago into the Andes Mountains, arrive in the small town of San Alfonso on the banks of the Maipo River. Surrounded yourself with 8,000 acres of mountain ranges, valleys, springs and waterfalls.

The company has more than 25 years of experience in ecotourism. Follow “arrieros” (local cowboys) as you take in the stunning vistas and admire the abundant flora and fauna on horseback. Scale narrow mountain trails and take a short break on a hilltop while enjoying the gorgeous surroundings. You might even see some Chilean condors flying high in the sky.

The riding time is approximately two hours — no experience is needed and you'll ride a small but sturdy “criollo” horse who'll make you feel at ease. After riding, enjoy lunch at a quaint restaurant in the small Andean village of San Jose de Maipo. Finish off the day with a visit to the Concha y Toro Wine Vineyard in the picturesque town of Pirque for a tour and wine tasting.
