What people are saying about Santiago
Great last minute tour with interesting organic wines
Purchased this tour the night before and received a quick email response to confirm that Henry, our driver, would collect us from our hotel in the morning. He provided us with interesting commentary on the journey & great conversation (excellent English). Matetic has an organic ethos & a charming situation. Our group was joined at the vineyard by some Spanish speakers but the vineyard'sguide provided information for both audiences. The showcase wine cellar was a clever design! After walking around learning about the process, we moved indoors for tasting. 4 glasses, 2 white & 2 red with bread & water & good explanation on each. We didn't leave without a visit to the shop where some good offers were available. Henry drove us back to Santiago stopping off at a wine warehouse with some additional 'tasting & food options. The day lasted longer than the advertised 5 hrs, more like 6.5 hrs, possibly due to the morning traffic. Well worth it though as we thoroughly enjoyed our day.
It was an informative, good learning opportunity.
When I travel abroad, I usually do sightseeing by myself. This was the only guided tour I had during my 5-day stay in Santiago. I am very pleased with the tour, which let me visit the site of a remarkable project of mural paintings and mosaics on the end walls of 25 apartment buildings in an ordinary neighborhood of the working class. The paintings were powerfully beautiful and amazingly diverse - representing characteristics and a collective message of the residents of each building who chose a painting from bids by artists from around the world. The guide, Juan Paulo, was very knowledgeable and pleasant, and helped me get an insight of Chilean society and fast growing Santiago. It was a fun experience.
It was an intimate setting with only the two of us touring.
We enjoyed the comfortable car and safe driving. The tour was given in good and knowledgeable english with all questions answered. The winery has a long and interesting history with a bonus Mapuche museum collection from the founders. We really enjoyed ourselves on this tour.
Rodrigo is super kind and speak Spanish and English as well.
Rodrigo was our guide and driver, was super kind and told us in detail about each part during the whole trip. Made several stops to tell us the history of the sites and allowed us to take pictures of everything. Super recommendable!
Excellent adevnture trip and finish with winery visit.
Sean was fantastic. American expat and fluent Spanish, obviously skilled in Chilean ways. We appreciated that. He has great knowledge of interesting locales, happenings, and experiences. Worth every penny.
