This was the #1 highlight of our trip to Italy!

This was fantastic and totally worth the money! My husband and I traveled to Rome, Florence and Venice in July 2018. We were on a budget and didn't want to bust the budget, so went with the "shared" gondola option and then splurged to have the serenade option. The experience was unforgettable and easily the best part of our whole trip! The singer and the man with the accordion had great chemistry and were constantly interacting w/ my husband and I. I thought the 20 mins sounded kinda short, but it ended up being the perfect amount of time. Do it at sunset around 7:30 if possible. Highly recommend this to all my family members and friends, it was simply enchanting and something my husband and I will never forget!

Venice: 30-Minute Gondola Ride with Serenade Reviewed by

Expensive and very touristy but worth it

We were one of over 100 people who turned up for our gondola slot, but the wait wasn't as long as we originally expected and the lady in charge tried to ensure that all couples got to sit in the back (we weren't expecting that). The trip was very touristy and lacking in romance (our view and thus photos included an American family sat in the front of the boat!) but for those of us who can't afford the €300 price tag of a private gondola ride it was a good compromise. We got to see Venice from a totally different angle and the atmosphere was very calm and peaceful on the smaller canals.

Essential Venice holiday photo experience

Our ride was well organised and on time. Not too far to walk to where Gondola ride started. Normally 6 to boat but we were at the end of queue and 3 in our Gondola. We were punted through the smaller canals going out into the Grand Canal by the Rialto bridge. Lots of photo opportunities of some of the areas not possible to see on foot. No commentary or singing but wasn't needed. Very pleased we booked on line as queues waiting and more expensive than pre-booked ticket.

Gondola ride was great, but tour company needs to respect our time

The gondola ride was great, but tour company needs to respect our time too and start closer to appointment time, they ask us to be punctual..so should they, we had to wait about 20 minutes on them at tour company to walk 10 minutes to gondola, but once there, very nice ride. And having others on ride was also nice..

Get your tickets earlier in the day to avoid a crowd

Make sure you take your voucher to the travel agency to get your tickets. There is a big crowd later in the day when the gondolas are ready to take you. This is an excellent choice if you don't mind sharing with 4 other people. We had a great time. A nice affordable way to see the canals of Venice in a gondola.
