Full description
Deep in the heart of the Costa Rican rainforest a secluded eco-lodge and endless adventures await. With 2 fun-packed days of white water rafting, zip lines through the towering canopy, and unbounded forest trails to explore, this is a tour for thrill-seeking travelers and nature enthusiasts alike. From the door of your San Jose hotel, you will be whisked away at the crack of dawn to begin an unforgettable 48 hours. Before arriving at your first rafting destination you will enjoy a traditional breakfast en-route, getting you revitalized and ready for the day ahead.

After a full safety briefing and getting you geared up with helmets, safety vests, and paddles, you’ll be ready to roll. Evoke your inner warrior as you take on grade III rapids down the Pacuare River and deep into the rainforest. As a treat for your hard labors, a wholesome lunch will be waiting for you as you return from your wet and wild rollercoaster of a journey. Buzzing from the high of your mornings’ achievements you will journey onwards to your destination for the night, the Rios Tropicales Lodge.

Nestled away between the trees, living in beautiful coexistence with its surroundings, you will find a unique and unforgettable place. Founded in 1985 by 2 childhood friends who shared a dream for combining sustainability with a love for adventure sports, Rio Tropicales is the perfect escape from the everyday. Indulge in an evening of cocktails and al fresco dining while listening to the sounds of nature cascade around you, then get a good nights rest before another action-packed day.

Kick-start your second morning with a cup of exquisite Costa Rican coffee and a hearty breakfast before embarking on round two of your white water challenge. Today you can put your newfound rafting skills to the test as you run the rapids of the Upper and Lower Huacas, Cimarron, and Dos Montañas. Rest and recuperate with a snack by the riverside and then paddle you way through to lunch and a much-needed shower. The afternoon will see you back on board the bus for your return journey to San Jose and a chance to reflect on your 2 wild days in the jungle.
