Full description
San Diego's Coronado Island location is a popular departure spot as it is located next to a seafood restaurant and the Coronado Golf Course. Cruise through the marina and explore the many yachts that call Glorietta Bay home. Once you leave the marina you will be directly under the Coronado Bridge, an iconic spot for taking your couples photo. Sail through the expansive waters of the bay and enjoy the sights of the San Diego skyline. Don't forget to look down into the bay to catch a glimpse of the vast marine wildlife, like sea lions.

Your powerboat will be a Sylvan 18, which boasts a 115 horsepower outboard engine and can seat up to 8 people. San Diego Bay is 12 miles long and all of it is an open speed zone (aside from the marinas where you initially depart). You'll see larger vessels, including active duty military vessels - such as aircraft carriers. You can see the San Diego Maritime Museum from the water-side which includes historic vessels, including a Soviet-era B-39 submarine and the Star of India, the world's oldest active sailing ship. You'll even see the famous San Salvador, the first European vessel to reach America's west coast in 1542.

Note that you do not need a boating license to rent a powerboat. You will be given safety instructions prior to setting out on your adventure.
