What people are saying about San Cristóbal de las Casas

It was okay, nothing spectacular about it. The tour driver took us for a canyon boat tour with beautiful views but there are so many tourists, it was quite tough to explore the nature by boat. We were then taken to Ciapa de Chorzo, a quite town nearby. The driver and the guide on a boat spoke only Spanish (which was expected from the tour description; however, it surely affected the experience. There wasn’t anything wrong with it, just not really memorable.

satisfied with the views, but not an easy option for one day trip

if you have a chance to travel to Palenque area, rather do it instead of doing the one day trip. if you dont have it, this is I guess the cheapest version you can do from San Christobal. the minivan is really small, the roads are bad...but for us the waterfalls + palenque was worth. it is only about where are the limits of your comfort and how many time do you have for travels.

Palenque is really great, just be prepared that there is limited possibility to buy food and what is available is overexpensed. Aqua Azul is also nice, but not sure about swimming, I want do that, water is a but dirty. The other cascade is nice, but would have prefered to skip it, the trip is already so long.

Really cool experience. Alonso was really approachable and was leading the tour in both English and Spanish really well. His stories were eye-opening and really useful. Some parts of the tour (greenhouse and posh tasting) were only in Spanish though. Definitely enjoyed this chilled tour.
