The palace was underwhelming. After having visited many palaces, fortresses, cathedrals, etc. throughout Spain and Portugal this month, I was expecting more. Perhaps it’s because you can’t visit all that many rooms. It was just meh. I wouldn’t put this on the top of your must-see in Madrid. There’s so many better things to see.

Great tour, difficult to find guide at the beginning.

Very knowledgable and friendly guide. I appreciated the small size of our tour (8 people total). Our guide took us through at a perfect pace and definitely knew the palace. Our only complaint, was that the meeting spot was difficult to find and we had trouble reaching the tour company to figure it out.

The guided tour is a very good idea!

I had the luck to be the only person of my group (tour in Spanish), so I had the guide just for me! The guide allows you to avoid long queues at the entrance: a good reason to choose this tour. The guide gives a lot of historical informations; also explains how to continue the visit of the palace on your own.
