Full description
Get a deeper understanding of Maori traditions and enjoy unforgettable sights at Te Puia Maori Village. Receive a warm welcome at a traditionally-carved marae (meeting house) and take part in an exquisite Maori feast prepared in the traditional hangi method of cooking food using heated rocks buried in a pit oven.

Be enthralled by cultural performances and traditional storytelling, participate in the graceful dance, try the ferocious haka war dance and more. Then, climb aboard a motorized waka (vehicle) and journey Through the Valley Under Lights. Be awed by the magical sights of Te Puia's geothermal valley, and disembark in front of the Pohutu Geyser to enjoy a hot drink as your guide shares traditional Maori stories.
