What people are saying about Rotorua
Thoroughly enjoyed by young and old. We were sceptical about how cultural this was going to be, but it was very im for and about the traditional culture of New Zealand. We were provided with a delicious buffet dinner, that was quite bountiful. All staff and performers were fantastic. Would definitely recommend!
Great food highly highly recommend amazing staff good fun my kids loved it bus driver JR was just fantastic
The Rotorua Lakes Duck Tour was a fun ride. How often do you get to ride in a genuine WW2 amphibious landing craft, and drive around on the roads in the same vehicle? Shelley, our guide, was fun and entertaining, although her jokes are really groan-worthy (just kidding). The look on the face of a driver in the car next to us as we came back into town and 20+ idiots in a DUKW blasted out a cacophony of duck calls was priceless. The views of the lakes were great, both from the road, and from in the lakes themselves. Note to Shelley's boss: we had at least 100 cars and a family of snails backed up behind us going up the hill outside Rotorua.
Great day out to an awesome attraction. The main concern was liaison with the company the previous day to confirm arrangements. This went without a hitch. The rest was as it were plain sailing. The guided tour of the island was informative and paced for ample viewing and photography time. There was a no fuss approach to safety which quelled any doubtful thoughts about potential risk and let everyone get on with enjoying the experience. Staff were really friendly and approachable. Nothing seemed a problem. Within the limitations provided by the trip the vegetarian lunch(I'm no fan) was delicious and ample. Walking inside an active volcanic crater was awesome. It was a top experience maximised by a professional personnel.
The culture performance was very cool dan the view around the village was amazing
