What people are saying about Ronda
Pablo, our guide, and Lola, our driver, made sure that we had a chance to explore lovely white hill towns, but also olive groves, sunflower fields, and gorges. The scenery is breathtaking, history, fascinating, and tour perfect. We enthusiastically recommend!
Miguel was a knowledgeable, helpful and delightful host as we toured the sierra and pueblos blancos in comfort. We had an excellent lunch of local lamb, interesting local wine and plenty of wandering in picturesque lanes. The Ronda bridge is breath-taking.
Everything was great the guide was very informative and helpful. The places we visited were lovely. Could have had longer in the placed. Very good bus and driver. A must visit.
Ronda The guide on the coach name was José he speaks 7 languages and flaunt is all, he was very informative about each town we passed through. The journey to Ronda had spectacular views stopping off at a village called Setenil where we was treated as it was a festival, people in local dress, riders & horses and procession. After moving onto Ronda the same festival was in Ronda but with more People and evermore elaborated dress from men & lady’s our first stop was the bullring and going through the history of the bullfights and a walk around the bullring itself. Moving onto the winery where we had some wine tasting from white, Red to sweet sherry. We then see what everyone come to see the Ronda Bridge instead of following everyone else where you only get a limited view we went down to another view point and got great views and some super photos. After we had lunch in a cafeteria up one of the side streets avoiding the Main Street as prices are higher to tourist; a great day.
While Ronda was supposed to be the highlight, this tour turned out to be so much more. The two "white villages" (I don't feel Ronda quite qualified as one) were very attractive and unexpectedly pleasant surprises - charming, secluded, delightfully preserved in time. The first stop at the ruins of a castle/fort had the entire group scrambling up old stone walls like kids, and was a lot of fun! Our guide Reyes was fantastic, very detailed in the narratives/history, even in 2-3 languages, high energy and wonderful personality! Thank you so much for a lovely day!!
