What an amazing collection of art from all over the world. I was intthralled as I went from room to room. And Christian Iconography was beyond anything I have ever experience, I arrived at 11a.m. the artwork kept !e going back to see again and this time to take photographs. Everyone around me was doing the same and it really was frustrating when I would get ready to snap a picture and some people would stop in front of me like I was invisible, so I suggest you buy postcards or souvenir book which includes pictures from inside the Sistine Hill where you are not allowed to take photographs. Be sure to have the audio guide, bring your own ear phones as they don't provide them and this is the one place you will want to have the explanation of the details explained. I stayed for over an hour just drinking in the incredible beauty.

The cost of the skip-the-line reservation is 4euro / person, which is expensive when there is no queue at the entrance. On the other hand, audio guides are not very useful because there is no reference number in most rooms. So 7 euros per audio ..... it's expensive. However the visit is really worth the detour and it was a real pleasure to discover all these wonders.

Very good for skipping the queue as stated. Just use the queue on the right when arriving at the vatican and the self service machines to exchange for tickets very simple to use. Voucher exchange for audio guide at desk. Museums were interesting and lots of good items on display.
