Giulio was an amazing tour guide! He led us through the Vatican Museum and St. Peter’s Basilica with acute knowledge and background of the locations. He kept a good pace so everybody in the group could keep up with him. He knew the answer to every question and had a great sense of humor which really added to the tour.

Our guide Christina did an excellent job and was amazed at the almost non-existent waiting times and space in the Vatican. The tour went for 2 hours but due to the short queues, the full 3 hours should have lasted (even if 1 hour is expected for the waiting time).

To be fair, the guide did his best but with so many other tour groups around and with so much material to cover it was bound not to be an excellent experience. It was a very good overview, a bit rushed and hard to hear at times, but it covered a lot of ground. If you only have one day to visit Vatican City you can either get a summary experience like this or go in-depth into one area. I'm glad we did the summary because we saw a lot and it gave us an idea of the scale of Vatican City but you really need more than a day to take it all in.
