Full description
It’s a little pity to visit Rome by night without indulging in a typical Italian dinner. This is the solution: a panoramic night tour of the eternal city including a dinner close to the suggestive Trevi Fountain. To have the best welcome to Rome, taste both its magic mood in the moonlight, and its delicious cuisine. This panoramic and dinner tour, lets you both discover all the best views of the eternal city in a different light and enjoy a typical Italian dinner. After enjoying the pick-up service you will reach an elegant restaurant just a few steps away from the monumental Trevi Fountain. After your 3-course dinner, you will have a guided walking tour stating from the enchanting Trevi Fountain, the famous fountain where beautiful Anita Ekberg invites Marcello Mastroianni to join her into Trevi Fountain’s water in Fellini’s movie Dolce Vita. Your local expert guide will tell you about the marvelous Trevi Fountain and, of course, you will have the chance to throw a coin over your shoulder into the water, to make sure you will be back in Rome! Your walk continues towards Piazza delle Rotonda where you will admire the majestic Pantheon - the best-preserved Roman temple - and learn about the millennial history of this monument. You might recall Brad Pitt and Catherine Zeta-Jones in Ocean’s Twelve! Next, you will see Piazza Navona, a square loved by the Romans, where you will admire the Fountain of the Four Rivers designed by Bernini and featured in the movie angels and demons and many more. After this nice walking tour, you will get on board a motor coach, to enjoy a relaxing panoramic tour and discovering the magical charm of the most famous monuments illuminated at night. Your expert local guide will tell you about Castel Sant'Angelo, originally built as a mausoleum for the emperor Hadrian and then transformed into a safe haven for the popes thanks to the passageway that connects it directly to the Vatican. For all the opera lovers, this is the place where the 'Tosca' by Puccini comes to its tragic end. The itinerary continues with St. Peter’s Square, Tiberina Island and The Mouth of Truth, that became legend after the release of the classic movie Roman Holiday with Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn. The coach tour continues overlooking Circus Maximus and the Palatine Hill and it ends with the symbol of Rome: the Colosseum! Take your best pictures where Ridley Scott’s 'The Gladiator' was set and buonanotte!

I really enjoyed this tour and our guide was lovely. It was more walking than I expected from the description. I didn’t mind but others complained and had not dressed properly. It went from a very sunnnynwarm afternoon to chilly at night. This was not a fault of tour. The dinner was nice but the food was slow to come making our 8pm regroup near impossible. I enjoyed the quality of this local partner much more than my other tour. Alessandra kept us informed throughout the tour on where we were going next. Trevi was beautiful at night. Highly recommend

Mario was great

Mario was a great tour guide. I do have to say that I wasn't quite sure what we were going to see. I thought the Vatican at night was included , but it was not as the bus cannot get that close. We did see the Colosseum though. We walked for a bit, learned some history, saw the Trevi fountain an other sights at night, and then got on the small bus. We were all delivered directly back to our hotels regardless of choosing dinner or not. I did not choose dinner.

Informative and interesting tour

At the beginning of the tour it goes directly to a very nice restaurant. The 3 course meal was very good. You have to pay for drinks yourself. We actually thought that we would eat at a later time and be led around a little before, but that is not a problem. The tour guide was very well informed and told us nice anecdotes. Unfortunately we were a mixed group of Spaniards and Germans so the tour guide always had to translate everything into two languages, which was not easy. We also expected to go into the Coliseum and not just pass by and stop there for five minutes. I found that a bit disappointing. The bottom line was the tour but very informative and entertaining.
