Emanuele was so lovely and welcoming. We felt that we had such a genuine and intimate experience and Emanuele is really passionate and keen to share all of his knowledge. We loved it and would definitely recommend if you are looking for a small size, authentic and professional experience. We made 2 delicious pasta dishes and then sat around a table drinking wine and eating our pasta, whilst chatting to Emanuele - it was lovely :)
After eight days of sightseeing, traveling the countryside and tromping around Pompeii, we spent our last day in Rome cooking in Andrea’s beautiful kitchen. We began by shopping in the central market and learning about the local produce, fish and meats. Then a stop for the most amazing chocolate coffee I’ve ever had, followed by some ogling specialty foods and treats in a Castroni shop. In the kitchen Andrea guided us through preparation of a Roman meal consisting of beautiful veal/prosciutto/sage bites, pasta carbonara and tiramisu for dessert. Accompanied by local wines that were perfect. The best thing about the meal is that I can prepare it at home in the US. Nothing exotic; very doable. We were only five in the class, my two adult children, and a mother and her adult son. Andrea speaks excellent English and is a fine teacher. His facilities are lovely, in a very convenient part of town next to Vatican City. All-in-all this was the perfect way to end our trip to Rome.
Our instructor was fabulous. She showed us step by step how to make Fettucine and aided each when needed. We were in a wonderful restaurant location near Piazza Navona. When we finished our pasta creations, they were cooked by the restaurant chef and served with our meal. Highly recommend.
This cooking class was a lot of fun and a welcome break from all the sightseeing and tours of historical sites. Our teacher, Matteo, was great, the restaurant staff was very nice, and when the class was over, we enjoyed the meal we'd made with a nice glass of wine and some complimentary limocello afterwards.
The guide and chef was brilliant, and took the time to make sure everyone had an amazing time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
