Taking the SIT bus is the most affordable way to get to Rome from Fiumicino airport. It was easy to find the bus stop. We turned right as soon as we exited the arrivals area and walked all the way to Bus Stop 12. An attendant stationed by the bus validated our vouchers and sold tickets to other passengers. The bus left on time and it was a smooth ride to Via Crescenzio 28, the stop for Vatican City. It was the same on our transfer to Fiumicino airport from Rome. To get to the airport we boarded the bus at the Via Crescenzio 2 stop. We presented our online voucher to the SIT personnel at the stop who issued the official tickets. The bus left at the scheduled time, and we got to the airport without any delays.

I was at a loss as to whether to take a train or a bus from Termine Station to the airport. Be careful because there are three bus stops from Termine Station to the airport. This time, I used this bus at the hotel side where I stayed. The bus was vacant, and there was no traffic jam on the road.

The stop was straightforward to find if you follow the directions you are sent. A conductor will scan your QR code and give you paper tickets to retain. Luggage can be placed in the hold (it’s a coach). Transfer was about an hour from FCO to the final stop (3 stops total - aurelia, Vatican and Termini). It terminates outside of Royal Santina Best Western on Via Marsala. This is the same place you pick it up again. It drops you off at the same place at FCO. No complaints - way cheaper than taxi/private transfer. Save your money and get the bus!
