What people are saying about Romanian Athenaeum
Peles castle is a very picturesque site; even such a short tour is worth considering it. The stop in Brasov could be 30 minutes longer, to be make wandering around possible. Nevertheless, the "Dracula Castle" is a typical tourist trap- in my opinion, it's a waste of time to go there. The guide was very approachable and positive. Our bus was pretty new, and comfy, fitted with A/C- the driver was driving in a dynamic yet safe way (taking into consideration local standards of driving).
We booked this Tour after lot of careful reviews reading. And our selection proved great. We really enjoyed the Tour despite being long. Peles castle was simply amazing with such great setting in mountains. Brasov Town looks like taken out of postcard. Bran Castle (Dracula) was a little disappointment but it has its own history. So a visit to Bran is must. Guide was very good and friendly so was the transport. We met some very nice people also. Overall experience A1
Serban, our tour guide, made this tour an unforgettable one! From morning to afternoon, the tour is jam-packed with amazing stories and jaw-dropping scenery. Having tickets in advance for both castles is a huge time saver which gave the group extra time to wander around both palaces. Serban is a highly entertaining tour guide who will make the trip worth your while. Make sure you ask for him. Highly recommended!
We saw Peles Castle, Brasov and Bran Castle. Each place was very interesting - Peles Castle is amazing both inside and out. The carvings are like nothing I've seen before. Brasov has a beautiful square - we had lunch and sat in the sun. Bran Castle was very busy but has lovely views and information about Vlad the Impaler. We saw the torture room which was very grisly!
Our Tourguide was very friendly, he even waited for me although I was too late. Was great to get an first impression of Transylvania. Both castles are very different while worth to see. Our Tourguide told us also a lot about the Romanian history in general. He was funny as well while he explained things to us.
