Roman Bridge of Córdoba: Tours & Tickets
What people are saying about Roman Bridge of Córdoba
Très belle excursion, avons beaucoup aimés
May 16, we had booked the excursion to Cordoba. When the tickets were sent to me, it was stated that the meeting point would be the Natali Hotel in Torremolinos because we live in a condo building in Benalmadena right next to the Triton Hotel. We went in morning by taxi to the hotel Natali to start our excursion. As the distance was quite important for the early hour of the morning, we took a taxi, the race cost us 10 Euros. The guide who accompanied us said that we could have been taken care of this morning in front of the hotel Triton because the bus started its journey to Estepona and ended in Malaga. I find it deplorable that you asked us to move and for other guests, they were taken care of in front of their hotel. I have another trip on May 23 for the Caminito Del Ray and this time I am asked to move to Torremolinos at the Plaza del Lido on the seaside promenade near the tourist office. Can you take care of me in Bemalmadena, near the police office. Thanks
Interesting and well delivered, not a ton of Jewish history
Juan was an excellent guide. Juan's tour in Spanish was incredibly easy for me to follow; I think I literally understood every word, in large thanks to his clear, confident delivery. Our quick conversations in English assured me also that he would deliver a perfect tour in English; he is fluent. Juan is something of a scholar and had some great, Kipling-esque stories of how things came to be-- the spanish word Gafas (not from Al-Ghafiqi, 10th cent. opthamologist/ surgeon from Córdoba who wrote about successful cataract surgeries of the time), the reason behind narrow, twisted streets-- He lead us through a variety of sites en la Juderia at a pace our group (ages 11-70 or so), and did a good job making history come alive in the spaces we visited. He shared little of Jewish history in Spain, and his gnorance about Arabic inscriptions on the buildings we toured surprised me. I recommend the tour to anyone visiting Córdoba!
VFM, excellent tour guide (2 hour duration) nice clean coach. informative fun guide on board (although I really dont need to know quite so much about olives!) Improvements would be 1) to have more time in Cordoba 2 hours is not enough. 2) It would have been nice to have a call as to why the coach was late in the morning. 3) less pick ups and drop offs, maybe you could get several smaller vehicles to do the pickups to meet the main coach altogether somewhere. Good value and would use again.
Excellent - really interesting and Lola was a great guide.
A very interesting tour which should really be titled Cordoba's 3 Cultures. Lola was an excellent guide (with excellent English) - she took us to places we wouldn't have found for ourselves and gave us an understanding of the Arabic/Moorish, Jewish and Christian histories that have shaped Cordoba. We would definitely recommend this tour to our friends.
Local guide (Maria) was excellent! The guide on the bus was ok, but his French (and English) was somewhat poor. Didn't seem as well organized as others on other tours. Some people on the bus switched seats when stopping at breaks or returning. Guide on the bus should advise no to do that.
