Experience the River Thames

Running 215 miles from sea to source, the Thames is the heart of London and beyond. Spending a day on or along the banks of the River Thames will leave you wishing you could stay in this fine city a little longer. Here are some ways to make a splash.

Boat Tours

From the Houses of Parliament to the Tower of London, get London’s best views during a leisurely tour along the Thames, while getting the facts on the city’s history.

Lunch Cruises

Book a noontime cruise. The only thing better than taking in London on the Thames is doing it in style, relaxing with lunch, a glass of wine, or a hot cup of tea.

Dinner Cruises

See London and its sites sparkle at night while enjoying a 4-course meal with wine in hand. You can book a boat with panoramic windows, and even a live band if you fancy that.

Walking

If being on the water isn’t for you, enjoy the Thames on dry land. The walking paths can’t be beat. You can join a tour; a guide will point out London’s landmarks along the way.

Cycling

The Thames is the only river in Europe to have a national trail follow it’s whole length. You can join a bike tour and enjoy a panoramic view of London along its beautiful banks.

A thoroughly informative and enjoyable cruise.

Very informative, amusing cruise. Barrier not very interesting but loved Greenwish. Wish we had given ourselves more time there.

Informative, funny and great way to see the sights

Commentary by crew member was amusing and we enjoyed the relaxing pace. You did need to understand english though.

A really informative and enjoyable experience and good value for money

The guides were both excellent, not professional, just down-to-earth boatmen who knew about the Thames and its history and had a great sense of humour. The trip was not at all boring, but informative, educational and just great fun. I would recommend it to anyone.

A lovely night with great food and excellent service from our waiter.

Stephen the waiter was incredibly attentive and also looked after friends very well who we made on the boat, one who was in a wheelchair, and the event was definitely a success.

Truly amazing river tour on a beautiful day with a great animated host

Enjoyed seeing London from the famed Thames River. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable yet animated and made the trip a true delight. I’d highly recommend it - also enjoyed walking around the stop off point town of Greenwich - which was quaint and charming.
