What people are saying about Reykjavik

A fantastic day with enthusiastic guides, very well organised.

Great day from start to finish. We hired a quad each (4 of us) and the quads were amazing to drive. Our guide for the morning, known as...…….. Sir Kaktuz made the day even more enjoyable. The quads were incredibly fast and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Then the lava cave in the afternoon was very interesting, I'm afraid that the name of the lady guide has slipped my mind. She was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions relating to the lava cave. I will always remember switching off our head torches and being plunged into complete darkness whilst our guide told us a story about Icelandic Santa Clauses. Great day! :)

Once in a lifetime opportunity to snowmobile on a glacier!

Our excursion was actually changed in advance to only a snowmobile trip due to flooding in the ice cave :( We were given the option to cancel, but what fun would that be? The guides were very knowledgeable and the snowmobiles and outdoor weather gear were in good shape. The guides were helpful and very careful to keep an eye on all members of our group. Since our group included people with varying skill levels, we were only able to explore a small section of the glacier in the time allotted. It would be great to be able to join a group with only more advanced riders in order to make the most of the day.

A fun evening, rich in history and so many delicacies!

We were fortunate enough to have a private tour with Lella and she was awesome! Lella was able to convey a better picture of the history and culture of Iceland than any reading we had done beforehand. We heard about political and cultural idiosyncrasies of the country as walked the streets of downtown Reykjavik to sample many traditional dishes. So many dishes that I hadn't even heard about, let alone tried - even fermented shark! If you have a few hours to spare in Reykjavik, I highly recommend booking this tour with Funky Iceland!

Wonderful well mannered horses and beautiful views

We had a group of 5 for the horseback riding and while we really enjoyed our tour, we didn’t enjoy how many people were on it. We had to ride in a straight line at a slow pace then broke off into two groups and in the “medium” group still weren’t really able to do much but a straight line at a slow pace. Perfect for a beginner rider with no interest in trying to go any faster. We would definitely still recommend this tour as the horses were beautiful and listened very well and the views were wonderful.

Wonderful sights, easy transport, and knowledgeable guide.

The tour allowed me to see some great highlights in Iceland since I had limited time. We stopped at great places and the guide was flexible with the schedule and rearranged visits to make sure it wasn't too crowded. He provided information about Iceland and was clear about our schedule, which gave plenty of time at each stop. Recommended on your stopover!
