What people are saying about Reykjavik

Fantastic trip and Trond was a terrific guide.

This was a beautiful trip. Fabulous sights and an incredibly entertaining and well-informed guide/driver. Only problem I personally had was a lack of gluten-free food for purchase. When I tried to eat some g-f bread and cheese I brought with me in a cafeteria on the trip (the only food stop), the manager tried to throw me out (it was 40 degrees out) because I didn't buy it there. Few in Iceland know much about celiac disease. When I explained, the mgr told me I could buy their soup!! (I'd checked; - thickened w flour! They sold yogurt parfait topped w granola - I was unwilling to roll the dice on it). He finally told me they would "make an exception" after I explained that eating their food would put me in a hospital. Not the tour's fault - but if you're celiac, you need to plan to bring your own food, expect a hassle, or go 8 hours on a bag of potato chips and an apple.

Wonderful guide, excellent vessel, beautiful sights & amazing wildlife

I couldn’t be more satisfied with this tour. The boat is a bit smaller than the big touristy ones, which gives it a more personal touch, with great speakers to hear the guide through as well as large windows at surface height, for a great view of the animals even for those who want to sit inside. It is also much faster than all the other vessels that left the harbor at the same time, so you get to spend almost twice the time actually at the feeding grounds looking for the whales, instead of just traveling there. The guide was the best, with a laidback approach and a lot of fun facts, while still very alert for breaching whales. We had the best possible weather conditions, which of course made the experience even better, with a whole lot of sightings, but I’m sure this tour would have given us the best possibilities even if the weather had been less perfect.

Sighted quite a number of whales and dolphins!

We downloaded the apps and received the ticket without the need of printer. Quite convenient. When we're on the sea, the wind was quite strong, wear warmer clothes! If you're driving, you could park your car there, they offered free parking spaces. The weather was good in the summer. We were quite lucky as we sighted quite a number of whales, dolphins, puffin birds and seagulls. The staff are friendly The whales usually went up to the water surface for another two or three times after the first sight, they're kinda quick, so get your camera ready when you first sighted it! Overall experience was quite satisfying! It would be better if the boat could get a little bit closer to the whales.

Perfect and better than could ever have dreamed of!

Lots of people piled onto the boat ready to see some whales! It was really easy to find the boat (would recommend getting there early to choose a good spot on the boat) after about 20 minutes you could see a few water spouts and I thought that would be it!! I couldn’t be more wrong! We saw loads of hump backs and they came so close to the boat!! An absolute dream come true! Really well organised trip! Thank you!!

Daniel and the crew of the Andrea were great.

Didn’t see any whales on our first tour but this company gives you a complimentary tour to try again. We took advantage of this offer and on our second try we saw dolphins and minke whale. Very exciting. Had a wonderful time. Daniel and the crew are awesone
