What people are saying about Reykjavik

Fantastic trip and Trond was a terrific guide.

This was a beautiful trip. Fabulous sights and an incredibly entertaining and well-informed guide/driver. Only problem I personally had was a lack of gluten-free food for purchase. When I tried to eat some g-f bread and cheese I brought with me in a cafeteria on the trip (the only food stop), the manager tried to throw me out (it was 40 degrees out) because I didn't buy it there. Few in Iceland know much about celiac disease. When I explained, the mgr told me I could buy their soup!! (I'd checked; - thickened w flour! They sold yogurt parfait topped w granola - I was unwilling to roll the dice on it). He finally told me they would "make an exception" after I explained that eating their food would put me in a hospital. Not the tour's fault - but if you're celiac, you need to plan to bring your own food, expect a hassle, or go 8 hours on a bag of potato chips and an apple.

Perfect and better than could ever have dreamed of!

Lots of people piled onto the boat ready to see some whales! It was really easy to find the boat (would recommend getting there early to choose a good spot on the boat) after about 20 minutes you could see a few water spouts and I thought that would be it!! I couldn’t be more wrong! We saw loads of hump backs and they came so close to the boat!! An absolute dream come true! Really well organised trip! Thank you!!

Excellent boat, excellent tour guides, and a wonderful experience

We brought kids on the boat. The day was rainy and we were concerned that they would not like the experience, but the warm, dry cabin was perfect. The wifi access kept them busy until we reached the whale watching area. We saw a beautiful minke whale and lots of bird life. The guide gave a great narration of everything around us, and it was great. I highly recommend.

A most enjoyable experience visiting the peninsula's best sites.

A very friendly, communicative and facilitating host. An extremely good balance of personal feedom to explore the sites visited allied to background information provision. No factual overload just useful insights! Only no break for a coffee or snack lunch that would have been a welcome personal addition at some point. Excellent value for money though.

Great fun and the opportunity to try food you probably would'nt try

There were six of us that met up with Ester for a great tour of some lovely restaurants in Reykjavik. Ester was a perfect host telling us about the origins of the food and other interesting facts about life in Iceland. The walk is not far as it concentrates around the old part of Reykjavik and you are very full afterwards.
