Full description
Experience the dramatic scenery and natural phenomena of Iceland on a 2-part combination tour, starting with a morning tour of the legendary "Golden Circle."

Depart Reykjavik to visit Iceland's 3 iconic natural treasures, including the Þingvellir National Park and Gullfoss Waterfall. Discover where the earth's North American and Eurasian plates pulled apart at Geysir and watch the geothermal waters and steam spout skywards from the geyser. Admire the cascades of Gullfoss Waterfall, where a glacial river thunders 32 meters into a canyon.

Then, take a 3 to 6-hour break and grab dinner before your evening Northern Lights tour. When night falls, search for the elusive Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) in the Icelandic wilderness, depending on the weather forecast and visibility conditions. Only visible during the winter months, the spectacular phenomenon is one of Iceland's biggest and most magical draws.

Good care. "Zapping" regarding the duration of visits: an additional 15 minutes per site would be an absolutely necessary minimum. We opted for an audio guide in French per person, but only had one tablet for 3, with very basic information. You might as well have the backpacker's guide with you. Due to a lack of organization, we could not organize ourselves to find where to dine in time. We therefore chose to cancel our participation too late in the excursion for the dawn ... A postponement of this visit was proposed to us.

Was a very memorable trip. Unfortunately didn’t get to see the northern lights on the first day as Mother Nature doesn’t perform on demand but we got to rebook for the following day for free which was an amazing experience. Tour guides were helpful but I would recommend you take headphones even if you are English for the golden circle as the audio tour gives additional information on top of the tour guide. I would also recommend you keep an eye on your emails if you book online as our bus time was changed the day before and we were only informed by email. Most hotels do have free WiFi though so if you have a smartphone or tablet this is fairly doable. Bus drivers had interesting names such as Daddy, Santa and Magic. Was a fun experience.

The excursion to the Golden Circle is essential to get to know Iceland.

The excursion is wonderful, the places visited are very well selected to approximate the wonders that Iceland offers, so full of contrasts and colors. The guide was exceptional, spoke beautiful English and some Spanish, loved the country, and transmitted it by telling him details and continuously recommending places to visit. The night out to "hunt" auroras did not go well, regardless of the fact that there were no good conditions, it was done, but the guide (spoke several languages, but their English is improvable) did not prepare the exit to replace the absence of the sighting of auroroas , could have been used to explain something of the southern sky, which was seen at times. It was the first seasonal outing to the Northern Lights and did not leave, the next day it was suspended and the next, when we returned, it could be seen in almost the whole country. We will be back. I would advise hiring the exit there if you see that there may be suitable conditions (see Auroras For
