Great place to visit if you like art, architecture and history!

I really enjoyed this museum. I had read a bit about Rembrandt before I went, and I think that's what made the visit so interesting. I liked the audioguide, and also the fact that I could get the audioguide on e-mail to listen to when I came home. The stairs in the house are very narrow, but it was not crowded when I was there, so it was fine. But it's no place for those with walking disabilities. The house is beautiful, and I especially liked the Cabinet - what a collector of rare items Rembrandt was! There were nice human guides in the rooms as well, and they answered any questions we had. Definitely a place worth visiting if you're interested in architecture, art and history. I ordered the tickets online, but still had to stand in queue to show the tickets, so not especially much time saved. But there were no crowd, so there was not a long wait to get in. I was there on a Friday about 12.30 pm.

Fantastic Value & Great Benefit for Exploration of your Amazing City!!

The Museumplein with anchors - Rjicksmuseum & Van Gogh Museum were awesome!! The architecture of Amsterdam along with the canal system is a real tribute to historic preservation in process. The green space such as Vondelpark & other squares with interurban spots to find shade on bicycle tours are appreciated! The Rembrandt House & Old Towne / Red Light District with all the unique differences from Churches to demonstration art is illustrative of your policy of tolerance. Our hotel - Apollo - overlooked the intersection of five canals which gave us ab aerial perspective of crew skulls rowing to canal tours and personal watercraft for pleasure & work. We had wished we had more time before our cruise up the Rhine River. We hope to return to your lovely city with Culture - History & People to explore more with I Amsterdam Pass!! Gemutlichkeit!!

For Rembrandt enthusiasts, a chance to step into the life of a genius.

Although much is recreated to show the visitor what life would have been like. The visit is still very much worthwhile. The workshops (we saw the etchings workshop), detailed the painstaking effort put in by this master, to achieve such drawings. One is shown how light played an important role and there are also the very artefacts used by both Rembrandt and students to produce such artwork. some steep stairways, but that is how life was in Amsterdam. We went on to the Rijksmuseum the following day. This added to the ambience of firstly, being in the home of this genius and where much work came to fruition, to then be standing in awe, and in front of the finished Art. A memory which will last forever with us.

visit to Rembrandt's house extended my appreciation of his life & work

I was disappointed to miss the special session on the etching technique. the timing of the session made returning to the exit and making my way back on time to the special session location too difficult due to the crowd. the session was full by the time I managed to reverse my direction. Great way to see the sites of Amsterdam including the transportation.

We hit it hard for two days with a 48 hour ticket. By then we wanted to slow down & take in the city which was a great way to experience the sites, culture & people. A wise investment with all that we saw. Thanks!
