Great place to visit if you like art, architecture and history!

I really enjoyed this museum. I had read a bit about Rembrandt before I went, and I think that's what made the visit so interesting. I liked the audioguide, and also the fact that I could get the audioguide on e-mail to listen to when I came home. The stairs in the house are very narrow, but it was not crowded when I was there, so it was fine. But it's no place for those with walking disabilities. The house is beautiful, and I especially liked the Cabinet - what a collector of rare items Rembrandt was! There were nice human guides in the rooms as well, and they answered any questions we had. Definitely a place worth visiting if you're interested in architecture, art and history. I ordered the tickets online, but still had to stand in queue to show the tickets, so not especially much time saved. But there were no crowd, so there was not a long wait to get in. I was there on a Friday about 12.30 pm.

very informative and interesting - one of the highlights of trip

The house was very cool and the tour was very informative. I was very impressed with all the detail and perspective that i got from the tour

For Rembrandt enthusiasts, a chance to step into the life of a genius.

Although much is recreated to show the visitor what life would have been like. The visit is still very much worthwhile. The workshops (we saw the etchings workshop), detailed the painstaking effort put in by this master, to achieve such drawings. One is shown how light played an important role and there are also the very artefacts used by both Rembrandt and students to produce such artwork. some steep stairways, but that is how life was in Amsterdam. We went on to the Rijksmuseum the following day. This added to the ambience of firstly, being in the home of this genius and where much work came to fruition, to then be standing in awe, and in front of the finished Art. A memory which will last forever with us.

Superb presentation, very friendly staff

The displays are very well presented, and the expertise of specialist staff interesting and helpful.

Watching the artist creat paint was worth the cost on its own.

This is a fun museums. We went thru it twice. Once with the audio to explain the rooms and then to have the paintings explained. The artist who thought about making paints was amazing. He was fun, personable and an excellent demonstrator. There are five original Rembrandt’s that you were inches from, and then to experience all the additional etchings was a wonderful bonus. I learned so much. A great way to spend your afternoon.
