What people are saying about Ravello
Loved all the views. Our tour guide Martina was very knowledgeable and I was amazed at how she could switch between 3 languages very easily. She kidded our driver, Arcangelo, who was great and they made a wonderful team. I would make two suggestions: I was supposed to get picked up at 7:20 and because I wasn’t 100% sure of where I was going I was early and they were early picking me up so I was on the bus at 7:10. By the time we picked everyone else up and left Garibaldi, the last pick up spot it was 8:59 so I had been on the bus for almost 2 hours. I would suggest a different method of picking people up when the distance requires that much time on a bus. An 8 hour tour had turned into a 10 hour tour and when we returned I was not going to sit on the bus again so I took the metro back which ended up being extremely fast compared to the bus ride. The only other thing I would suggest is that when we stop in cities like Ravello, a few suggestions of what to do would be good.
We were picked up from the Hotel Terminus at exactly 8:30am. Our guide was Guisy. We left immediately after (the hotel was the last pickup spot). We booked the small group and I believe the total was 14 people. First stop was in Sorrento. Good view. We stopped at what appeared to be a gift shop and to taste some lemon drink. Spent around 15-20 minutes there. Next stop was Positano, which was amazing! Another 15-20 minutes spent here enjoying the view. Afterwards, we went to Amalfi where we had a boat tour (not included unless you paid for it in the booking or on the spot), which was great! Spent around 25 minutes on the boat. Then ate at a nearby restaurant, which was decent. We were then given 45 minutes to spend in Amalfi. We then left to our final stop at Ravello, which again we were given 30-40 minutes to walk around. Only complaint i have is we did not stop on the east side of Positano (which is the view you normally see in photos).
Our guide (Sabrina) was very friendly and knowledgeable and the driver (Lino) was very professional. We visited Sorrento (which was not listed in the tour description, so we got it as a gratuity, thank you Sabrina and Lino), Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello. The lunch was decent and in a nice restaurant in Conca dei Marini with a beautiful view over the coastline. We had approximately 50 min per location for the visit so use your time wisely because it is running out very fast! Be prepared that you will spend half of the tour in the bus but then I cannot think of a better way to experience the Amalfi coast in such a short time. A small tip - if possible, sit on the right side of the bus and enjoy the ride (the views are much more rewarding compared to the left side).
The tour was superb...well organized as well... lunch was ok but the nice thing was that the drink was included in the meal...bottles of drinking water were distributed freely in the bus.. Our guide Veronica was lovely...very accommodating and well informed..she made the tour even more interesting... One point to note:- the start time of the tour was mentioned as 8am and we were given a pick up time of 8.30am.. the coach eventually arrived at around 9am, reason given was there was traffic..
Really Great Tour from Naples to all the locations included with the tour. Our tour guide, Lea was doing a great job at commentating through the whole of our journey. She was very energetic and welcoming. The tour was not tiring at all. All the mountain View and the Sea View were so panoramic that Italy has got me to fall in love with its culture and places. I still remember the views of Sorrento, Positano and the Amalfi coast. Really enjoyed. I do Recommend this tour.
