Full description
Your tour will begin with hotel pick-up between 4:15-5:00AM, at which point you will drive for 3 hours to your destination. En-route to your destination, you will pass through several small cities such as Checacupe, Pitumarka and Chilca. Pampachiri is located at 3,800 meters above sea level, and once there, your guide will provide you with an explanation of the region as you enjoy breakfast.

Next, you will begin your 7-kilometer ascent hike which will last approximately 2.5 hours. You will hike in the direction of Montaña Vinicunca, which is also known as Cerro Colorado due to the variety of colors it contains. During your trek, you will have spectacular views of the imposing Ausangate, which is part of the Andean Mountain Range.

Upon your arrival to the Mountain of Colors, you will be able to take many photos, make traditional stone houses, and "ask for wishes with the energy of the Apus" (the Andean Gods). After spending some time enjoying the site, you will begin your descent, with a break to enjoy a delicious lunch at Panpachiri on the way. From this point you will return with your van back to Cusco, where you will arrive at approximately 7:00PM.
