Full description
The enchanting town of Sintra makes the westernmost point of continental Europe much more than a place of geological interest. This 8-hour private tour with your own tour guide will give you a perspective you can only get by standing on the edge of the world. Come explore this area’s fresh climate and lush vegetation that combine with unique architecture and a legendary charm.

After pickup by private vehicle in Lisbon, stop at Sintra village, a delightful Portuguese town full of extravagant palaces and opulent mansions. Pena Palace, an ancient Moorish castle that was once the summer residence of Portugal’s royal family, is the next stop. Admire its 19th century Romantic architecture and its many unique and colorful features.

Next, you’ll visit Quinta da Regaleira, a magnificent estate classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This structure represents the junction of various artistic and architectural trends, from Gothic to Manueline to Renaissance. The result is a truly unique creation, full of magical nooks and details.

After lunch, visit Cabo da Roca, the actual western tip of the continent, where the turbulent waters crash up against rocks rising to 140 meters in height. Take in the stunning views of the wild coastline and breathe in the fresh air. Your last stop is a visit to Cascais, a fishing village established in the 12th century that remains well preserved today.
