Full description
Take on the famous Shotover River with its grade 3 to 5 rapids and enjoy the fun drive to the rafting start point via Skippers Canyon. The 4x4 drive is an experience in itself, the narrow dirt track road hugs the canyon's sheer cliffs and offers spectacular views over the river you'll be rafting. At the rafting base, be fitted out with all your gear and benefit from a full safety briefing.

Begin your whitewater rafting adventure from Deep Creek, over peaceful waters at first, before heading towards the exhilarating rapids of the lower canyon. Feel your adrenaline as you paddle through the rapids and raft through the darkness of the historic 170-meter Oxenbridge Tunnel before shooting over Cascade Rapid to complete your adventure.

For a real sense of adventure, opt to take a one-way scenic helicopter flight over the famous Skippers Canyon. Check-in at the shop in central Queenstown and you'll be taken to the raft base at Arthurs Point to gear up. A shuttle bus will then transport you to the helipad halfway up the Coronet Peak access road. Jump in a helicopter and fly through the narrow canyon, right above the river you are about to raft.
