Full description
Take part in animal conservation activities on Australia’s Sunshine Coast with access to the Sea Life sanctuary in Mooloolaba, approximately 1-hour from Brisbane. Learn about projects to protect the local environment, discover the unique wildlife of the billabongs and more. Then, come face to face with seals, swim with them or become a seal trainer.

General admission will get you up-close to many of the creatures that live beneath the sea, and show you more about their fragile ecosystems. Discover what animals inhabit the surrounding waters of Queensland, and what measures are being taken to protect them.
Choose the animal encounter you like the most:
Seal Encounter:
Discover just how gorgeous seals are up-close on a seal encounter experience that lets you touch their fur and shake their flippers to “seal” your friendship. Go behind the scenes to see where they live and where all their fishy food is prepared. Someone will be on hand to take photos of you with the seals for a unique souvenir.

Seal Swim:
Meet the resident seals for a quick photo shoot. Take a behind-the-scenes tour of Seal Island. Then, jump in and swim with your new friends.

Seal Trainer:
Enjoy a 5-hour hands-on experience to become part of the Marine Mammal team. Get access to different behind-the-scenes areas before taking part in the seal show. Get a personalized welcome from the presenter of the Seal Show. Then, help feed the seals after your own lunch. Continue to Otter Empire to prepare the otters for their show. Finally, take the plunge and join all the fun of the “Seal Swim” program.
General Underwater World Sea Life access will give you plenty to see and do for the rest of the day, whatever activity you choose. Be entranced by the delicate movement of seahorses in the Seahorse Sanctuary. Touch an array of sea stars and sea cucumbers in the Tidal Touchpool. Explore the coral gardens, clown fish and sea anemones of the Pacific Reef. Go to the brand new Coastal Wreck zone, and learn about the many species that inhabit the coral reefs of Australia.

Learn about the unique wildlife of the billabongs, including freshwater sawfish, barramundi and pacu fish (a cousin of the piranha). Marvel at creatures whose ancestors have been in the world for more than 650 million years in Jellyfish Kingdom, come up close to fierce-looking moray eels, and much more.
