Full description
Your tour will begin as you visit the booking office and gift shop to collect your boarding pass. From there, you will make your way onto Hawes Pier to board the boat and embark on your sightseeing cruise. Once the boat has departed Hawes Pier, there will be a brief safety message played to all passengers before the audio commentary begins. The journey then starts with the boat heading under the Red Forth Rail Bridge before continuing past the historic Inchgarvie Island towards Inchcolm Island. You can listen as the skipper points out seals, puffins, and other wildlife that can be found throughout the cruise. Once around Inchcolm Island, you can watch carefully for sunbathing seals on the Haystack before the cruise continues back under the Red Rail Bridge towards the Forth Road Bridge and the recently opened Queensferry Crossing. Once under these majestic bridges, the boat will cruise back to Hawes Pier where you will be free to disembark.

It was a nice, chilled out experience out on the open waters! Couldn't hear much of the pre-recorded tour guide through the speakers as we were on the top deck and it was abit windy. But the tour itself was great. Make sure to take a warm coat, then sit back and enjoy.

I have given it a good rating as I enjoy boat trips and this has a lot to see, even the odd grey seal. I would suggest that you read this first so as to locate exactly where your boat leaves from. You need to get a train from Edinburgh to Dalmeny , about 3 stops, then it's a 15 min walk to South Queensferry. There is a short cut behind the bus stop which is not easy to find if you don't know so best gps it and add 5 min extra to the walk. The little town offers a nice fish and chips and is worth a look at after your boat trip. Good comentry and makes the trip worthwhile.

Had a great time on this tour. Weather was dry and sunny but very windy. Advise you wrap up well. The boat was easy to board, my 83yr old mother managed it no bother. Great day out looking forward to doing it again so we can explore the island. Staff were very well mannered and friendly. Would recommend
