Full description
The first stop on your tour will be to the Mylodon Cave, a remarkable cavern 200 meters long, 30 meters high, and 80 meters wide which is located 25 kilometers from Puerto Natales. A 30-minute walk will take you into the cave, which was made famous by the discovery of seemingly fresh skin and bones of a huge prehistoric sloth known as a "Mylodon". In the same cave the remains of other extinct animals were found, including the dawn horse (Eohippus), a prehistoric cave bear, the Patagonian Panther, and the saber-toothed tiger.

You will then make a stop at a café in Cerro Castillo, before then continuing to Torres del Paine. As you pass several "estancias" (ranches), you will travel from a steppe eco-region towards a deciduous forest. Along the way we may be able to see some of the local fauna, including many species of birds. You will also see guanacos, wich are wild camelid related to the llama.

Torres del Paine is world-famous for its granite towers, which give the park its name. These gigantic spires were carved by glacial ice. After entering the park you will come upon a series of lakes with intense colors, mountains covered in ice, and an array of local fauna. Following lunch you continue to Lago Grey, where we will hike to a beach to observe the glacier of the same name. The return to Puerto Natales may be via same route, or on an alternate road which takes you past the picturesque lakes of Toro, Porteño, and Sofía.
