Full description
Venture out on a full-day trek through Torres del Paine National Park to see the Valle del Frances. This hike will take you to one of the most beautiful valleys and to a main section of the popular W Trek.

Get picked up early in the morning from your hotel in Puerto Natales and drive to the Pudeto sector. Board a catamaran and travel across Lake Pehoé toward the Paine Grande refugio (rustic shelter). From here, you will begin the trek to Valle del Frances.

As you hike through the Torres del Paine National Park with your bilingual tour guide, you will see the emerald waters of Skottsberg Lake and views of Cuernos del Paine — the famous set of spiky granite peaks in the park, all of which stand at over 2,000 meters high.

After the trail approaches the Frances River, you will arrive at the Italian Camp, a simple campsite and entrance to the valley. Continue along this path for 1.5 hours until you reach the Valle del Frances viewpoint, a privileged 360-degree view, in front of the Paine Grande hanging glacier. From here, take in the breathtaking view of Paine Grande, the park’s tallest mountain, and also the glaciers.

Later, you will return to the sector of Paine Grande, completing 20 kilometers of walking. Board the catamaran that will take you back to Pudeto, then continue your return trip to Puerto Natales.
