What people are saying about Puerto Iguazu

Great local iguazu transportation tour with boat adventure

What a great way to visit Iguazú Falls in a short time. A complimentary airport arrival transfer was appreciated. For the tour, transportation was great and smooth. A driver came to pick us up at 7:30am and although late we got back to our hotel at 6pm. We signed up for the English tour but it was a Spanish tour with a guide speaking minimal English. The walking tour was fun, the falls were amazing! We spent a lot of time waiting for trains because there were a lot of people (we went on a Sunday). The boat ride was incredible and the highlight of our trip. Be warned that you will get soaked, not just wet but like getting gallons of water dumped over your head. People who were better prepared had ponchos and clear phone cases. You get a big bag to put your belongings, but my bag still got wet inside. Even so, we had such a fun time! Overall the tour worked fine but we wished that we got a English speaking guide or at least a 50/50% Spanish/English tour. We didn't learn anything.

This was the icing on the Iguazu falls cake.

The ride is very short, but in my opinion completely worth it. pilot flew around it from all angles and it felt like an adventure ride as well as a scenic tour all packed into one! Connected the perspectives of the Brazil and Argentinian side together into one amazing view. However, this ride should only be considered AFTER you already know that you will take a boat tour into the falls, as that experience was even better. side note - I did not think to check which country the helicopter took off from when I booked this, it is in Brazil right outside the entrance to the park. Travelers from the USA should know that as of June 2019, Visas are not required to cross over into Brazil if you are already staying in Puerto Iguazu (Argentina). I did a ton of stressing while not knowing if I would be able to get my last minute visa in Puerto Iguazu, reading a ton of different explanations on how to obtain one. Just a passport did fine to get across the boarder!

Guide Carlos Machain was disappointing as English Guide.

It was once in life-time opportunity to visit and see most beautiful Iguassu Falls from Brazilian side. Long walk - up and down - and was paced very nicely with given enough time to stop and take pictures. There were thousands of Butter Flies along the way that even sat on your clothes. The tour was excellent except for the Guide Carlos Machain. He took several minutes to explain in Spanish but when it came to explain the same thing in English he spent only a few seconds. This once-in-life opportunity would have been much more enjoyable if we had q better guide to explain everything in detail in English. You can't imagine this lack of a good guide to take time in explaining in English was so disappointing. This tour company GUIA needs to pay special attention to hire a Guides that takes time in explanation in English for those who don't speak or understand Spanish.

Guide friendly, but tour lacked organisation

We did a one day tour to Iguazú Falls from the Argentinian side that included the boat ride. There was a lack of clarity around pick up time, for instance the confirmation email suggested we would be collected between 6 and 8am. We did not receive any emails/updates from the hotel until the guide arrived to the hotel at 10:45. The guide was very friendly and did his best to manage a group of both English and Spanish speakers. He was not aware that we had booked a boat tour until we asked where this would fit in in the itinerary. We did the boat tour in the end which was lots of fun. Overall we had a great experience seeing the falls which are beautiful and it was a really enjoyable day, but I felt like a trip of this price deserved a detailed itinerary and some more information on the history of the falls.

Great experience! First-class live entertainment

Smooth pick-up and drop off at my hotel on the brazilian side. All you can eat buffet with barbecue churrasco was good, but the highlight is definitely the Latin American live show with multiple folk dances from different countries. Host spoke portuguese most of the time, but it didn't make our night less special
