Full description
Start at Metronome at Letna Park - The 75-foot-tall, bright red metronome has been keeping the rhythm in Prague since 1991 – but it’s the city views from the landmark that attract people to it. Located in Letna Park on the former site of a massive statue of Stalin (which was torn down in 1962). Your second stop is the 700-foot-tall television transmitter tower in Zizkov, built between 1985 and 1992 – the addition of the giant babies came in 2000. The view isn’t open air – which means photos can only be taken through glass however you will get to warm up on cold days.

Next, go south of Prague’s city center, where on the right bank of the Vltava River stands Vysehrad Castle. Built in the 10th century on a slight hill, the castle complex includes a church (Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul), a cemetery (where several of Prague’s most famous residents are buried) and the Rotunda of St. Martin (which dates to the 11th century). There, you will find large viewing platforms on the north and south, looking for small platforms with amazing views of the river and the Prague Castle.

Now, slide down the hill to the river to visit The Dancing House, one of Prague’s most photographed buildings. It was one of the city’s first modern buildings built after the fall of communism in 1989. It is home to almost 3000 square meters of office premises, a restaurant, a gallery, and a conference center. Most importantly, there is a sightseeing terrace on top of it, from which you will overlook the breathtaking panorama of Prague. Finally, stop at Petrin Lookout Tower, modelled on the Eiffel Tower, standing in Prague since 1891. The tower, at 208-feet tall, stands on Petrin Hill and is one of Prague’s many recognizable landmarks. The 360-degree viewing platform can be accessed by climbing 299 steps. The tower is near Prague Castle where your tour ends, allowing you to explore your favorite monuments close up.
