Full description
Your bus will take you to the gates of Prague Castle. From there, start an unforgettable tour of the interior of Prague Castle. During this tour, you will visit the Old Royal Palace, the Basilica of St. George and St. Vitus Cathedral. Take a stroll down the famous Golden Lane and visit the house connected with the life of Franz Kafka. This tour concludes under the steps of Prague Castle. St. Vitus Cathedral is the largest and the most important temple in Prague. Apart from the religious services, the coronation of Czech kings and queens also took place here. The cathedral is a place of burial of several patron saints, sovereigns, noblemen and archbishops.

Old Royal Palace - the original residence building, mostly wooden, was built at Prague Castle already at the turn of the 9th and 10th century. Its exact location is not documented. It was prince Soběslav in the 12th century who had a stone Romanesque palace built right next to a new fortification wall. Remains of it have been preserved in the underground till the present times. The palace was adjoined on its eastern side by All Saints Chapel, which was consecrated in 1185.

St. George's Basilica originated as the second church at Prague Castle. Only parts of the building, founded in around 920 by Prince Vratislav I, have been preserved. When the convent of Benedictine nuns was founded in 973, the church was enlarged and reconstructed. The Golden Lane originated after the construction of a new northern wall of the castle. The area of the northern bailey was used for the building of modest dwellings, which are now the last remainders of the small-scale architecture of Prague Castle.

The guide did not know how to speak English, the transfer was 1 hour late and the route that was supposed to be done in 3 hours was done in 2 hours due to the delay. We hired an English-speaking guide, then they put us in a bilingual guide who simply did not speak English, only Russian. I don't recommend it.

A scam. Disappointing.

They picked us up at the hotel at the indicated time and took us late because the driver went around Prague (1 hour in the traffic jam, then we discovered that we could have walked in 10 minutes) so we lost the Tour in Spanish hired. Solution: give it in English. The Dasha guide very well disposed with her little Spanish, but there were almost no explanations in English. I left you at the door of the places and stayed in 20 or 30 minutes with the group. Better an audio guide that at least you have explanations in the language you want and of course, cheaper. Finally, the person who attended us when we arrived at the meeting point, above, "unfriendly".
