What people are saying about Port Safaga
It was the best experience for us in our trip to Egypt. It’s not just the quad ride in the desert but also the Bedouin village and night show. Don’t forget a jumper for the night, it can get rather chilly!
We were a party of two in this trip. It was a good day and our guide Abo was amazing. He was clear and transparent and did not Money led as is the case usually in Egypt. When he was showing us how to wrap our headscarves (most people brought one) I decided to buy one from the shop. Abo was aghast at the price I paid for this (6$) and he stated that they were really poor quality. He then arranged a refund. You have to hire glasses for (150LE) but I would make sure you do this and the glasses have foam so they fit your face. The trip itself was amazing and I am doing it again but a bit later at night so I can see all the stars. It was nice not having to barter for a day and I did purchase the photo at the end as it was a funny photo. Great Day in all.
Amazing day, first we got picked up from the hotel, the time did say 2.00pm but didn't arrive until half past, wasn't a problem because the day made up for it, Hamy was amazing very funny, looked after and made us feel welcome. We started off with about a 30 mile ride into the desert and the speed that was set by the guide was suitable for all of the group. We were offered lots of refreshments during the day to keep us hydrated in the heat. Meeting the locals in the desert was eye opening and loved meeting the little kids they showed us a different insight. Riding back in the sunset was lovely as well and he let us open up the bikes more, was a really good day and if we came back to Egypt we would deffo do it again! Thanks hamy!!:)
The ride was fun, bedouin camp kind of tacky and not authentic at all, too bad the guide did not stop in the desert on the way back to see the stars, which would have been an awesone experience. Food was ok, too overrun with tourists. Show was terrible, only highlight was the "dancing" boy, which was awesome.
