What people are saying about Počitelj
Although we haven’t done many day trip tours, this was our best one by far! This was a wonderful day full of amazing sights, kind people & interesting information. We received the info on our pick-up location in advance —so easy & close! Our guide & driver were on time & so kind. The van was very comfortable, the driver so safe. Very well-timed stops for breaks in driving! Our guide was really nice, helpful & informative & always checking in to make sure we were comfortable/enjoying ourselves. We learned a lot about both Croatia & the Herzegovina part of Bosnia. The waterfalls were really pretty! Mostar by far was our favorite part. Our local guide there was fun & informative (45min). We then had 2.5 hours of free time. As many people mentioned, it would be amazing to have more time in Mostar but it was so magical (& delicious), I’m sure we could have stayed for days! We felt our time & interests were really respected on this tour. Thank you Amico! We highly recommend this!
The tour itself and the guide were both excellent. The sights you visit are stunning and really worth the trip through the no-so-fun borders. The waterfalls at Kravice are simply spectacular. Shame you don't get to spend longer there. The downside of the trip is that the organisation of pick-up locations is very confusing and you spend the early hours of the day (6.40am pick-up time!) asking random people if they are either on the same tour as you or if they are the right guide (as there are loads of guides milling about the Pile Gate all doing the same sort of tours in various languages for various companies. Clearer information well ahead of your trip would be much better but they only send details around 24 hours beforehand so you have to keep an eye on your emails during your holiday. However, once your on the coach / minibus it's worth it.
Picked up on time and only a few other pickups to do, so we were on our way to Bosnia within half an hour. Border queues were minimal (which meant we had loads of time everywhere and were home before 7pm). Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. The Kravice Waterfalls were amazing - you could hear them well before you saw them owing to it being early May and still lots of snow melt - the river was flooded as a result - and the overall impact was stunning. Mostar was most enjoyable and the view from the top of the 16th century minaret is well worth the €6. The restaurant next door also has amazing views and very tasty food. I also recommend you try fig and walnut ice cream, it was recommended by our guide as her favourite and it was delicious.
We enjoyed our day trip to Bosnia Herzegovina. The itinerary was good and the border crossings not too long. Our main problem was that it was quite hot and the buses air conditioning could not keep up. This made much of the ride and the stops at the border crossing very uncomfortable.
The guide is great and nice, he picked me and my friend in our apartment and drop us in the same spot at the end of the trip. The places are beautiful, unfortunately, it was raining. It would have been nice if the weather is good~
