Uffizi gallery and walking tour Florence...We loved our Guide!!

Two tired adults, two tricky teenagers and a wet August Tuesday in Florence (apparently the worst possible day to visit a gallery)...it was not a good combination for a great day out. But thats exactly what we had! The wonderful and gorgeous Julia our Guide made the Italian renaissance and the fabulous and flawed Medici family come to life! She pitched her tour and her stories perfectly despite a large group and a crowded museum and Florence being packed to the max... we learned so much without even realising it, and we were still discussing the dozens of great stories the next day. It was the absolute highlight of our trip to Tuscany and one we will never forget... Julia also had the officials eating out of her hand wherever we went thanks to her excellent grasp of Italian and immense patience and charm. What could have been another day of grumpy kids and stressed out adults turned into a wonderful experience, and if we are lucky enough to return we will book Julia at Get your Guide.

The best tour we have ever been on! Ever!

Julia was our guide and she was phenomenal! Her knowledge was incredibly impressive. She taught us so much, tied everything together, and gave us the details and the big picture. I can't believe how much we learned from her. We had taken a Vatican tour a couple of days prior and we thought our tour guide was great. And she was good. But she didn't even touch Julia's abilities. If you can get Julia as your guide you really should. She's the best! As for the Uffizi, it was amazing and definitely worth seeing. The city tour was also awesome. We went to the Basilica of Santa Croce and wow, what was in there to see was incredible. I won't give any spoilers away but we are so glad Julia took us there. We learned a ton and it was all very interesting. This tour was fabulous!

Sylvia is a star, knowledgable with a great sense of humour

There were only 3 of us on our tour and we definitely got the personal treatment. Our guide, Sylvia, was wonderful. So friendly with a great sense of humour and perfect English. She really brought the artworks in the Academia and the Uffizi to life with a delightful spontaneity, frequently cross referring to the three of us as individuals and involving us in the tour, rather than just reciting a prepared script. The short break for a gelato was very welcome - try the buontelimento, supposedly mascarpone flavour but absolutely delicious Grazie Mille, Sylvia, a presto

An absolute must for first time visitors

Our 2 tour guides Sylvia and Leticia were wonderful. We are not the tour or review type of people, but we loved our experience so much that we had to let viewers know about this incredible experience.

Both Silvia and Leticia were excellent guides.

Both ladies were very professional, knowledgable and enthusiastic about their areas of expertise. They made us all feel very welcome and spoke very clearly. Thank you to Silvia and Leticia.
