A perfect way to tour Rome, if you can handle Italian traffic...

As an Amsterdammer, not having a bike to travel in any city would be a handicap. Rome, however, is a bit of a challenge, since it has in abundance that which we generally ignore back home - topography. Hills. A 3D landscape. The musculature to negotiate these is not something I've had the opportunity to develop in 2D Netherlands. An E-bike, thus, provides that extra assistance, a push up them hills. Rome also adds another challenge that we've largely forgotten about in A'dam: motorised traffic. There are lots of cars, mopeds and motorbikes. These can be intimidating at times, but I found out that Roman drivers are not unlike a self-organising network in which each node communicates with its neighbours to produce emergent order. In other words: maintain eye contact with other drivers, take initiative in moderation, and all will be well. Staff at the shop were very friendly and nice, did not try to push any extras at us, and I will gladly return next time I visit the eternal city.

A great way to see the must-sees of Rome!

We had a great time with Segway of Rome! Our guide, Alessandro, was kind, fun, and knowledgable. He was very safety oriented and took time to make my mom, who had never used a Segway, comfortable before leaving. He shared lots of history and we hit all the "typical" Roman sights, and then some we didn't even know about. This is a great way to see everything in Rome in a short period of time. We only have two days in this city but we didn't miss a beat because of the Segway tour!

Love tour but organisation was chaotic!!!

Wasted time in the beginning, chaotic organisation not helped by a minor accident with a pedestrian while in training phase. There were 3 guides for a group of 20 plus of whom 1 was late. The late start was compensated with a later finish but we had to rush to our next appointment. Our guide constantly smoked throughout tour. Despite these comments we think Segway tours are an excellent orientation to any foreign city. We always do one everywhere we go!

Our experience with Louisa as our guide was spectular!

Our experience with Louisa as our guide was spectular! She arrived on time and the car was clean. She gave us a history lesson while we travelled. We had a wonderful day not having to be herded onto a bus. Louisa suggested a wonderful place for us to have an afternoon snack and a glass of wine. We hit all the main attractions. And were back to our cruse ship on time. This excursion was the highlight of our 7 day cruise...Thanks to Louisa!

A fun tour with highlights along the way.

I visited Rome together with my nephew. During day-time we walked a lot, and in the early evening hours we took the Segway Tour. I suggest to future visitors to do it the other way around. Start with the Segway Tour as it will take you to most places every first-time visitor to Rome wants to see, and thereafter go back to places you want to explore further. Our guide Gianluca was friendly and knowledgeable.
