What people are saying about Perth
As I'm Perth born & bred, I wanted to do this tour as a 'tourist', just to see how we come across to the real 'tourists'. I got to see more of Perth than I ever could have walking or driving, especially the height advantage on the 'top deck'. I found out so much more of our history & managed to take it in more visually ! I would truly recommend this tour to everybody. I'm planning my next 'tour' now. The cruise up the Swan River & the Hop on Hop off tram at Freo.
It was informative and fun. Our guide who also drive the bus which looks like a tram was approachable and humorous. He brought us to the important attractions like the Fremantle prison, Fremantle market, war monument, etc.. there are free buses that brings u around Fremantle but they don’t bring u to the attractions so this tram is worth taking. Only drawback is the tram was not air conditioned. It was a bit hot in the tram.
As my friend and i were on the last bus we were surprised when we had to get off at William street. The guide says drop off only it should say end of tour!!! When other passengers were as amazed as we were the driver said waving his arms FINISH! I and the other passengers expected to be taken back to the quay not kicked off in the city. This somewhat was disappointing.
Excellent route including the CBD (central business district), East Perth and a circuit of Kings Park, the largest inner city park in the world. One particular driver (Greg) was incredibly helpful.
The gentleman who took us around was fantastic. I think his name was Jeff but not sure. He was informative, helpful, friendly and obliging. Excellent day.
