As a solo traveler and non-Spanish speaker, I liked how art descriptions were detailed in both English and Spanish and they had a few notable artworks that you wouldn’t expect like a Rothko, Toulouse le trec, Georgia o keef , and monetize to name a few. Be sure and check to see if you want to see is not on exposition somewhere else. A good 3 hours is all you need to see everything and go down to the basement to see their latest exposition. You will not be disappointed. Lastly, you can take pictures and you can drink and take water but not around the artwork.
I stay around gran via hotel. That is so easy and fast to get in the hop on and off bus when I present the online ticket. And the audio is very clear , somemore got usb so that I can charge my handphone battery and keep snap my picture when bus is go around. Route 1 & 2 is Madrid main historical and new place to going too. But one thing I hope it can finish at 11pm cuz still hv many tourist still around those area. But we r lucky can get the last bus went back to our hotel.
On our first attempt at the historic tour the top deck was full. Each time a seat up there was vacated there was a mad unsupervised rush to grab the seat. It was not a good experience. But when we eventually got a seat up there the view, the tour and the recorded guide were all excellent
The museum is not so big but if you are in Madrid you don't have to miss to visit; the collection of paintings is amazing and you must really see it. After you finish the visit you can take a snack at the terasa Thyssen-Bornemisza
Unfortunately the Tour buses have commercials glued to the windows, so You cannot have a clear look out. Another Problem was, that one could not connect to the loudspeaker system, because many connections were ruined
