Full description
Take a half-day tour to the Palace of Versailles and discover gracious gardens and intricate architectural features. You’ve experienced the excitement of cosmopolitan Paris, now take a trip back to the sheer decadence, harmonious open spaces and splendor of a lusciously landscaped paradise, just a short ride from the French capital.

Your guide will walk you through the enchanted grounds and reveal the stories of the shamelessly indulgent kings, queens, and consorts of 17th and 18th-century France. Unravel the history of the Sun King, the stifling court etiquette, and the scandals that rocked the monarchy and ignited the Revolution.

Hear the fantastic myths and legends behind the statues and fountains and explore the hidden corners you wouldn’t find on your own. If you’d like to venture inside, your guide will show you how to avoid the lines and get the best priced tickets.

Highly recommend this tour !!

My wife and I had a great tour with Holly our guide ! It is fun an amazing to walk the Versailles gardens on your own, but this tour gives you a more complete experience, with stories and views you would never reach alone. The tour really covers a lot of these huge gardens, and holly was great, very nice and professional! Don't think twice, book this tour !

Fantastic - a must see

This tour takes you through the beautiful highlights of the garden and provides a ton of interesting French history. Our guide Nancy was very friendly and knowledgeable; we very much enjoyed her company. We had a very small tour ~ 5 people, but this was apparently not typical. She suggested a place to have lunch nearby & gave us instructions on how to buy tickets and enter the palace. The tour is organized and leave on time; the guides also help you to use the metro there and back.
