What people are saying about Paris

First of all, the tour visited a large producer (Moët) known as a ‘negotiant’ as they buy in most of their grapes from producers. Moët have very plush premises in Epernay and the tour was well-polished, finishing off with a sample of Moët Imperiale. The next stop was at a small producer and champagne maker, Julien Chopin. The sampling was far more generous with 3 Champagnes and a dessert wine. They served lunch too, which was plentiful and tasty. This was our favourite stop and the Champagne was very nice. Finally we went to a cooperative whose name escapes me. They have an emphasis of using Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunière grapes. We had 3 samples here, though a bit smaller in size than in the other two producers. Throughout the trip we were given lots of information about the Champagne making process, it was fascinating. The driver and guide for the day was Julia and she was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable, had a pleasant personality and spoke excellent English too.

We got a very detailed description so it was very easy to find our host Daniella. It was a very warm welcome and we felt immediately like being under friends. We had very good conversation during the whole evening and the time passed by too quick. We liked the offere food and beverages so that we left our host very satisfied and enriched with a new experience. My wife and I which and hope, that these hosts, who open their homes for sharing an evening with foreign people will never make any negative experiences because this is excellent way to bring people together.

Gourmet French Dinner with Local Parisian Hosts Reviewed by Anonymous, 03/08/2020

Great, cute class!! The location was gorgeous and in a bustling area. The instructor was beyond lovely. The class was informative, but we didn’t do much as it goes to making the macarons. It’s not the fault of the class, because macarons are a tricky thing to make, but it just felt a little lack luster. They should have given us wine or champagne as I watched the process. Kidding....kind of.

Claire, the trainer, was very passionate and friendly. She was very attentive and making sure everyone understood every step. The macarons presented for the course were a perfect choice. Chocolate shell with salted chocolate ganache and pistachio stuffed with pistachio butter. Very good! It's always a pleasure coming across that kind of people that brightens up your day.
